Lovely Tuscany - March 27-30th - part 2

In all this eating you're probably wondering what on earth we did with Liam on our little jaunt to Tuscany, and don't worry, he was with us the whole time!  He actually handled the trip really well, but also managed to grow very accustomed to dropping off to sleep as soon as we got into the van and started driving over all those bumpy winding roads.  It certainly hasn't helped with his sleeping since we've been home, but at the time it certainly made the 4 hours drive there and back a lot easier.
Liam out for a walk in the rolling Tuscan hills

Our outings were briefer and more low key than in the past so that it was as relaxed and easy as possible with Liam.  We only went into Florence one day for the afternoon, but made good use of the time with a visit to the Boboli Gardens, a good Italian gelato and then a supreme Ben and Jerry's milkshake.  (I will have to embarrass myself here by saying that we took a photo of us in front of Ben +Jerry's and did NOT take one in front of the Duomo.  To be fair, our last visit to Florence was filled with all the appropriate photos and sites, so I don't feel that guilty...)
Liam, Diego and I on the bus ride from Fiesole into Florence (Diego is Liam's wolfie friend and also happens to be my hand)
A view of the Duomo from Boboli gardens
Stylish "nonna" Cathy pushing Liam around the Boboli Gardens
On Ponte Vecchio just before his "you need to feed me now!" meltdown
I wasn't kidding about this photo - if you look carefully you can see the reflection of the Duomo in the window!
Not only was this Liam's feeding stop (the hysterics were put to rest here), but we also ended up changing him at the table while enjoying our carmel/brownie ice-cream milkshakes.  Yum!
